How Do You Show Yourself Some Love?
Do you treat yourself to a massage? Mani pedi? Bubble bath? A trip to the gym? A glass of wine?  Or if you’re lucky, all of the above?!

Because girlfriend ,if I can tell you one thing, it’s that you gots to treat yo’ self right!  

The summer has only just begun  and I’m already feeling overwhelmed.  Now, don’t get me wrong, I love the summer, I love having the kids home, and I especially love all the outdoor activities.  But for me, summer also means that I’m constantly on the go. If I’m not taking the kids on playdates, trips to the pool, or bike rides to the park, I’m in my office working away on a client project.  And while I’m blessed to be able to control my schedule, there are definitely days where I feel like there’s simply not enough hours in the day.

And I know this juggling act  is something ALL moms battle. Whether you work full time, stay at home, or do a combination of the two like me, there is ALWAYS something else that needs to get done. ALWAYS. But, you know what? It can almost always wait. It’s all about priorities and managing those priorities.

And believe me, I know that is easier said than done. Saying no, is something I tend to struggle with. I’m a people pleaser and tend to put everything and everyone else first.  To combat that, I leave myself post-it notes on my computer, try to meditate regularly, and remind myself to see the beauty in the simple things.

This week I was reminded of just how important it is to take a break, breathe deeply, relax, and show myself some love.  A little yoga, a trip to the beach, and some journaling was like pressing the reset button.

Showing myself some love not only makes me feel refreshed, but it increases my productivity.  Balance does amazing things for your mind, body and soul.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed and life is stressing you out, take a moment to to show yourself some love, because YOU deserve it!  Your future self will thank you!
